My name is Paul.
In 1996 my wife and two sons left and moved back to leeds.
Over the next year I tried suicide three times. I was finally diagnosed as being depressed and put on anti-depressants.
I was refered to a psychologist which helped me to come to terms with what I had been accused of at Bradford Crown Court. I was found innocent. Thanks to the psychologist I have not tried suicide since 1997 – although I think of it often.
Today, 21 years on, I am finally getting the help I need.
Through Moving Forward I’ve met many blokes all with there own set of problems. We all share a similar goal, which is to manage our depression and get as well as possible through training, chat, walks etc.
I have a long journey ahead of me but I will succeed with help from the Moving Forward Facilitators who havemade me feel safe and welcome.
